Shandong Taikai Electrical Insulation Co., Ltd. is a national high-tech enterprise in China. The FRP GRP Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic Composite Crossarm product is based on FRP as the matrix, and the appearance is made of vulcanized silicone rubber as the jacket. Shandong Taikai Electrical Insulation Co., Ltd. has established long-term cooperative relations with China Electric Power Research Institute, Tsinghua University, Shandong University and other units to jointly develop new technologies in the insulation industry.
The insulation performance of the traditional 10kV steel cross arm depends on the pin insulators fixed on it. Therefore, the insulation distance is short, and the lightning resistance level is low, only about 75~100kV. Once the insulated wire is hit by lightning overvoltage, the overvoltage potential energy is large but the time is short, which usually causes the insulation layer to be broken down, and the insulator flashover phenomenon occurs. At the same time, the power frequency short-circuit current is limited, concentrated at the insulation layer after being broken down, and eventually the wire is broken due to lightning strikes. As a power component that plays the role of supporting and overhead conductor in the transmission line, the cross-load plays an important role in the transmission line. The traditional steel cross arm is easy to rust and has a short service life; it is not convenient to install and requires regular maintenance or replacement, which increases a lot of use and maintenance costs. In order to solve the various disadvantages of the traditional steel crossarm and improve the safety and reliability of the transmission line, Shandong Taikai Electrical Insulation Co., Ltd. made a comprehensive improvement on the traditional cross arm, introduced a new concept to redesign the cross arm, and developed a FRP GRP Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic Composite Crossarm
with reliable performance and long service life.
