Third, basalt fiber composite poles are corrosion-resistant and aging-resistant in saline-alkali areas; in severe coastal weather, their excellent stiffness, strength and toughness can ensure smooth power flow.

In addition, basalt is now listed as a high-performance fiber together with carbon fiber, aramid fiber, and ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene fiber. Its basalt fiber composite material is also included in the National 863 Plan and is an emerging composite material that the country focuses on developing.
